The Red Tent Treat

Once upon time, long ago, when the moon was dark, the women of the village would make their way to the Red Tent...

This would be the special time of their cycle. Her flow time. The Tent was set at the edge of the village, away from the hum-drum of daily life. It was here that the women, relieved of their usual duties and daily tasks, would rest for several days, fed and supported by the rest of the village. As a place of retreat, it was a time to turn inward, a time to dream and receive guidance form the invisible worlds and a time to envision the future. It was a welcome space of protection, support, renewal and spiritual development. After their time in the Red Tent, the women would then return to normal duties - refreshed, revitalised, strong and clear.
